July player of the month: Armand Gnanduillet (Big Dave!)

The big lad's on fire! He has been playing brilliantly in Pre-season. He has scored four goals, coming against Matlock, SC Olhanese, Burnley and Ilkeston. He has also pipped in with a few assists and has won a penalty as well. That overhead kick against Burnley proved just how weird and unpredictable a player he is! It also shows that he has lots of talent, and at the age of only 23 he has potential and still has plenty of time to grow into a very good player. He didn't only score against Burnley, but he also changed that game and set up Byron Harrison's winning goal, and all in all he inspired the comeback.

Hopefully he can carry this form into today's friendly against Hartlepool and earn a place in Saunder's first team for the upcoming season. He will be hoping to have a better season this year, after only scoring five goals last year, two of which came in a loan spell at League Two side Tranmere.
